General Lawn care and Maintenance:

  • Mowing:
While regular mowing is absolutely necessary for maintaining a healthy lawn, ironically, it is also somewhat stressful for the grass. This is because vital photosynthetic tissue is being removed and a wound is being made in the plant’s tissue. Therefore, in order to reduce undue stress from mowing, it is critical that proper technique is implemented, equipment properly maintained, and blades kept sharpened like surgical instruments.
Additionally, proprietary innovations & a nuanced understanding of the qualities of each mower we use has enabled us to further improve cut quality and tailor our equipment to recycle more nutrients back into your lawn.
  • Fertilization programs:
We offer both conventional and organic 6 step fertilizer programs that are designed to match seasonal growing conditions while optimizing the health and vitality of your lawn.
  • Chemical treatments:
Herbicide is applied to the lawn to prevent the infestation of unsightly weeds.
  • Aeration:
Aeration is typically done in spring or fall as a way of allowing more oxygen to get to your lawn’s roots. This improves growth as well as the structure of the soil. Aeration is also very beneficial at loosening up compacted soil by allowing it to “breathe” and can help to revitalize a struggling lawn.
  • Over-seeding:
Over-seeding is typically done in the spring or early fall to promote new growth and thicken “patchy” lawns. These are the ideal times to over-seed your lawn since grass seeds are more likely to successfully germinate when they aren’t subjected to the stress of the summer heat, and water is readily available. Over-seeding is more effective when performed after Aerating.
  • Mulching:
Applying fresh mulch to your landscaping beds helps prevent weeds, improve soil structure for surrounding plants by adding organic matter, and is a great way to make your property stand out!
    -Types of mulch include:
Premium Cedar, Hardwood, & Color Enhanced (Red, Coco, Dark Brown, Black)
  • Landscape bed edging:
Provides a natural border around landscaping, and offers a more “finished” look to your mulch beds while preventing mulch from ending up in the yard.
